Branded medicines

Branded medicines, also known as spécialité drugs, are patented by the manufacturer who marketed the drug under a particular brand name. These types of medicines are a large part of the Phardis portfolio where Phardis can offer both a Dutch and a European product, so-called parallel imports.

Generic medicines

When the patent expires on the original branded medicine, the generic product may be marketed. It can therefore be seen as a kind of 'copy' of a branded medicine containing the same active ingredient. Phardis has an extensive portfolio of all major generic manufacturers.

Medical aids and devices

Besides medicines, Phardis also offers a broad portfolio of medical aids and devices. Medical aids and devices include incontinence materials, wound care and blood-glucose meters. Phardis has access to both big and small brand names in the medical aids and devices industry.

Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines

Over-The-Counter (OTC) medicines are medicines that do not require a prescription from the doctor or physician. Examples of these medicines include paracetamol and trachitol which can be found at pharmacies in the Netherlands. Given the large daily use of these medicines, Phardis is fortunately able to offer a wide range.

Clinical Trials/Unlicensed Medicine

In addition to registered medicines, devices and medical aids, Phardis also offers comparative pharmaceutical products (comparator sourcing) in order to support the execution of clinical trials.
